Shenandoah Fire, November 23-24, 2007.

An eight hour fire at 113-125 N. Main St. destroyed the Berk's Thrift Store (formerly Davison's Furniture store), the Thunder Road nightclub on the north side and damaged the former Berson's Jewelery Store on the south side.
Several firefighters were injured while fighting the blaze. Their injuries are not believed to be serious.

The nightclub opened its doors in July after struggles with neighbors, borough officials and the Liquor Control Board.

Fire departments were called to the Davison’s building about 9 p.m. Friday. The fire is under investigation.
